Sr. Field Applications Engineering Manager
InvenSense is the world leader in motion sensing solutions for mobile devices and is looking to grow its technical support team in Sunnyvale, CA. The Senior FAE Manager will play a key role in creating and managing a worldwide FAE organization, both staff and distributor FAEs, and will take the lead in managing all product and technical activities at strategic customers.
Responsabilities
- Assure customer satisfaction from the beginning of product evaluation and design-in to ongoing post sales support at key customers
- Manage all technical support activities with strategic customers and 10+ worldwide distributors
- Become a motion sensing technical expert for applications including gaming, image stabilization for digital cameras/camcorders/phones, GPS navigation and user interfaces for mobile phones
- Author and manage product specifications, customer support documents, application notes, white papers and technical/training presentations
- Assist in developing and supporting evaluation and reference platforms
- Travel to other countries as required for training and customer support
- Perform other duties and tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
BSEE or MSEE
- Minimum 6 years semiconductor applications engineering and management experience supporting High Volume Consumer Electronics products. Digital cameras, mobile handsets, game control systems or PC peripherals experience highly desirable.
- System board design experience essential.
- Familiarity with debug tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit emulators.
- Must possess good analytical and system troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to present moderate to highly technical materials to diverse audiences.
- Must possess strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin, Korean or Japanese is highly desirable but not required.
- Interface via phone, email and onsite visits with key customers to resolve high priority and complex issues.
- Travel to international locations as needed (10%).
- Ability to manage priorities and be flexible in a dynamic start-up environment.
