Senior Test Development Engineer
The Senior Test Development Engineer will be responsible for developing engineering and production test software and/or hardware for new products and transferring completed test solutions to the production group. Detailed responsibilities include working with “first-silicon” wafers and devices to debug and understand device performance, developing test system architectures and specifying circuit board needs, developing test software on standard and custom mixed-signal testers and hands-on electrical test using standard electronic test equipment and custom electronics circuit boards. In addition, he or she will also be responsible for test data collection and analysis for the purpose of tester validation, yield and test time improvement, providing feedback on product performance to the design and marketing teams and providing support to the applications group for generating customer samples and demo kits. Occasional travel to our overseas factories and contract manufacturers may be necessary when testers get transferred overseas to such facilities.
Requirements:
- BS or higher in Engineering, with emphasis on Mixed-Signal ICs
- 5+ years of test automation development experience; at least 2 years with production test systems
- Proficient in using bench top electrical test equipment (scopes, spectrum analyzers, meters, etc.)
- Hands-on C++ or Visual Basic programming skills
- Strong logical deduction skills
- Self-sufficient problem solving/debugging skills
- Focus on creating robust, high-yielding, low test-time test solutions
- Experienced in test data collection and analysis using Excel or other data processing tools
- Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time
- High energy and goal-focused
Preferred Requirements:
- Experince with National Instruments PXI platform
- Experience with TMT, Eagle, Nextest or KVD testers
- Experience with qualifying test systems for shipment to overseas factories
- Experience with testing of MEMS products
- Experience with schematic design for test circuits and loadboards
