Director/Sr. Manager, Product Line [Department Code 1003]

Description:


  • Responsible for Motion Processing software strategy, product definition and go-to-market plans.
  • Responsible for overall business success of a set of products and target customers.
  • Work with cross-BU team, customers, Sales, FAE's and software development team to define next generation software releases and applications, and develop compelling product roadmaps
  • Create detailed market requirements document (MRD) for MotionApps software releases including core specifications, profiles, and applications. Drive customer requirements into the engineering development process and serve as advocate for the customer in the prioritization process.
  • Create and execute product launch plans, including positioning, pricing, and sales collateral. Develop and coordinate marcom plans.
  • Drive competitive analysis, publish competitive landscape reports and develop competitive strategies.
  • Drive design wins with lead customers: work with business development team, applications engineering and sales force to identify, track, and drive to close design opportunities.
  • Support and coordinate product planning, technology, and BU strategy. Contribute to business plans and related internal processes.
  • Work closely with Sales and FAE team to penetrate and win OEM accounts.
  • Evaluate and predict customer needs to identify the best customer engagement strategy.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Monitor and manage customer engagement to communicate and achieve revenue and share forecasts.

Requirements:

  • BSEE/MSEE in electrical engineering or computer science, MBA preferred with 7+ years of experience in Product Management and/or Marketing of software products and/or cellular technology products
  • Proven product definition experience with successful products.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Software Development Process.
  • Computing and/or Mobile Applications experience with handsets, Tablets, PCs, or other mobile devices.
  • Background in the development and maintenance of marketing strategies.
  • Proven background in conducting market research and customer product slides.
  • Excellent communication skills at a technically detailed level, both written & oral.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at engineering, commercial and management levels.
  • Effective time management and task prioritization.
  • Ability to formulate strategy and business planning.
  • A team player able to contribute and communicate ideas, take high level direction, and formulate and execute on individual and group goals.
  • Experience working with major mobile manufacturers is a plus.
