Description:
The MEMS Design Engineer is part of the InvenSense Development team responsible for new MEMS devices from the design phase to the production phase. This position involves detailed mechanical modeling, design, hands-on characterization, and de-bugging of new device designs. The successful candidate is detail oriented, experienced in MEMS design, and passionate about MEMS. Familiarity with electronics and integrated circuits is a plus.
Requirements:
- Experience designing MEMS gyroscope, accelerometer, resonator, or similar device
- Strong analytical background
- Thorough understanding of electrostatic actuators and capacitive sensing
- Strong theoretical understanding of multi-DOF mechanical modeling and simulation
- Proven ability to create multi-DOF MEMS models and validate them on real silicon structures
- Strong analog and digital laboratory bench skills. Ability to debug and characterize analog control systems using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes etc.
- Experience with Matlab, FEA, and layout tools
- MSEE, MSME, MS Physics, and 5 years of industry experience, or equivalent
Preferred Requirements:
- Familiarity with electronics and integrated circuits
- Experience in low-noise design
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of analog signal processing and control systems
- Fabrication experience or MEMS process knowledge
