INVENSENSE DUAL-AXIS GYROSCOPE RECEIVES
PRODUCT INNOVATION OF THE YEAR AWARD FROM FROST & SULLIVAN

Small Size, Low Cost Dual-Axis Gyroscopes based on Nasiri-Fabrication™ Earns Best Practices Award for Technology Superiority in Consumer Mobile Products Markets

Santa Clara, Calif., June 12, 2007 – InvenSense, Inc. (www.invensense.com), the leading provider of integrated motion sensing solutions for mobile applications, today announced it has received the Product Innovation of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan for its integrated dual-axis gyroscopes. The award recognizes the technical leadership of InvenSense based on its innovative and proprietary Nasiri-Fabrication™ technology enabling the development and introduction of the world’s first integrated dual-axis gyroscope products with immense potential for mobile consumer markets. InvenSense CEO Steven Nasiri will accept the award at the 2007 Excellence in Emerging Technologies award ceremony to be held in Newport Beach, California on June 13, 2007.

In addition to its contributions of advancing motion sensing technology, InvenSense was acknowledged for making gyroscopes affordable for mobile consumer products. The company has met the primary challenge facing gyroscope manufacturers by delivering small form factor, multi-axis, single-chip gyroscopes in high volumes to leading consumer OEMs at order-of-magnitude lower price points. Achieving a paradigm shift in the design and manufacture of MEMS sensors, InvenSense uses its patented Nasiri-Fabrication process for wafer-scale integration that leapfrogs the cost issues faced by other MEMS sensor makers.

InvenSense has three new gyroscopes in its IDG family of dual-axis gyroscopes for consumer markets, including the IDG-300 for motion sensing; IDG-1000 for image stabilization; and most recently the IDG-1004 for GPS navigation.

“InvenSense's unique dual-axis gyro with integrated electronics provides the key capabilities required to open up and significantly expand new, high-volume applications for gyros in such areas as digital cameras, camera phones and smart phones, 3D input devices, remote controllers, portable navigation devices, and so on,” said Peter Adrian, principal analyst and research manager with Frost & Sullivan. “The company's solutions address the key requirements in consumer and handheld electronics markets for inertial sensors that provide lower cost, a small factor, low power consumption, and more intuitive and flexible motion sensing functionality.”

“Demand in the consumer markets for more sophisticated motion technologies for phones, cameras and portable navigation devices continues to grow in part because we have made the opportunity real for product makers to implement a cost-effective solution,” said Steven Nasiri, founder, president and CEO of InvenSense.

“Recognition such as this from Frost & Sullivan is satisfying validation of our advances in gyroscopes and future sensors for mobile phones and other product segments.”
